Visiting the Amalfi Coast, there were so many areas that we wanted to experience, as they are all so different. One of the places that we had on our bucket list was Ravello, so we spent a few nights at this cute, quaint town. Ravello is the highest peak of the Amalfi Coast and offers jaw-dropping views of the entire coastline. It was a view that I had always dreamed about seeing one day…

Staying at the Palazzo Avino, (formerly known as Palazzo Sasso) this historic 12th century villa is still owned and operated by the same tomato canning family, The Avinos, who followed their life long dream to open this stunning hotel in 1997. This luxurious 5-star hotel is tucked away on the hilltop village of Ravello, perching 1,000 ft. above the Mediterranean. Being rated one of the world’s finest hotels; there is no shortage of a Kodak moment as its picturesque views are like no other on the coast.

As soon as I walked into the lobby, I immediately noticed the beautiful décor, bold colored art from Marco Nereo Rotelli and the breathtaking scenery. With different levels of the property, I was constantly surprised to find something new at each level with dramatic views of this prestige coast; a rooftop twin Jacuzzi, large pool with luxury chaise lounge chairs and umbrellas, outdoor fitness area, lemon tree gazebo and a terrace restaurant.

Our deluxe sea view room had large floor to ceiling windows that looked out to the Mediterranean Sea that was decorated with hand made Vietri tiles. Watching the sunrise over the mountain each morning was one of my favorite highlights of the room.

As a beach lover, Palazzo Avino sets the bar high. They offer a complimentary shuttle to and from their private beach club, House by the Sea that is a 15-minute drive from Ravello. With a plunge pool, sun deck, lounge area, restaurant and friendly staff, this private, sparkling jeweled sea awaits just for you. (You can even get Wi-Fi here too!)

With a fabulous one star Michelin restaurant, Rossellinis, this pink palace is a jet-setter escape for anyone wanting to call this home for your Amalfi Coast getaway. Just steps outside the hotel, the cobblestone streets lead to many cute café’s, restaurant, boutique stores and the beautiful garden of Villa Cimbrone. It truly is the most beautiful view of this region.
