Il Salviatino is the perfect, lovebird Tuscan getaway that isn’t just for fairy-tales. This luxurious, restored 15th-century villa lies on the hillside of Fiesole, with stunning, panoramic views of Florence. Set in lush Italian Gardens with Florence’s Duomo seen in the distance, you feel like you’ve just arrived on set of a romantic, historic movie setting with a modern vibe. Overlooking one of the most breathtaking cities in the world, while sipping a chilled sparkling wine, it almost felt like a dream, it was purely so magical.
With the sexy lounge music that played throughout the entire property and one of the newest hotels in Florence (completed a massive restoration in 2010), we knew we had picked the ultimate luxury villa in Florence. It was the perfect place to stay that was out of the hustle and bustle of a city, but just 10 min. away (Hotel offers a free shuttle ride every 30 min. to and from the City of Florence).
During our recent stay, we were assigned to an ambassador of the villa as guests have its own ambassador to look after during their stay. As we were given our tour throughout the villa, we fell in love with their large library that was set in dark wood and leather furnishings filled with Dr. Vranjes room diffusers that smelled lovely throughout the entire property. Il Salviatino offers amenities such as a luxury spa that is adjacent to their pool, a beautiful outdoor restaurant that overlooks Florence (with amazing city light views and one of the best breakfast and dinners we had throughout our month stay in Italy) and free WiFi that was accessible on the entire property, which is huge plus for vacationers that have experienced the faulty WiFi in Italy.
Our room itself was spacious and our bedroom had dramatic views of the entire city. It had a built-in TV into our mirror that techies would love and a mini library to make you want to get lost into an Italian romance novel while drinking an espresso from your in-room Nespresso coffee machine. Our favorite thing about the room was their LED-lit rain showers and the picturesque views.
Thank you Il Salviatino for letting us feel the true Italian romance that we all dream about. You made that vision come alive! Visit salviatino.com to learn more about this ultimate Tuscan getaway.
