Traveling with a baby can be quite daunting. We were so used to traveling with just a carry-on for just us two. When we took our first trip with Kaia, we couldn’t believe how much stuff we had to pack! Now that we’ve done it a few times, I’ve got the top baby travel gear essentials you need for when you’re on-the-go…

BabyBjorn Baby Carrier One

This is one of my favorite carriers, because it’s lightweight, comfortable to wear and has the option of a front-facing carrying option. I love to wear this when we are going through security so that it frees my hands to put all the essentials in the basket. (Diaper bag, laptop, stroller, etc.) You will get a hand swipe from TSA to test for explosive materials, but it’s better than taking baby in and out of the stroller and having to put everything on the belt ready to be screened, etc. This carrier is great for newborns to 3 years old.

Baby Boom PACK RIGHT 12 Piece Travel Diaper Bag

We have traveled with this a few times and I highly recommend this to every parent that is traveling or even for day care. It’s super lightweight and with all the little compartments and bags, it will keep you so organized. Traveling with a baby can be so stressful that when you’re in a rush to find something in the diaper bag, it can look like a total disaster trying to find what you need. These separate, removable labeled pouches are great for organizing outfits, bibs, sheets, toys, food, bottles, etc. Comes with a large tote diaper bag, insulated bottle pouch, insulated food pouch, pacifier case, outfit pouch, crib sheet pouch, bib pouch, blanket straps, small and large laundry bags, changing pad and name and luggage tag.

BabyBjorn Travel Crib

We’ve stayed at hotels and with friends and family and this travel crib from BabyBjorn is so easy to travel with! All you have to do is open the bag, lift out the travel crib and it’s set up in one simple movement. It comes with a plush little mattress and organic fitted sheet. Some hotels do have cribs, but you might have to pay extra. We use this so much that Kaia is used to it, so we don’t have problems putting her to bed. I know some babies don’t sleep well if they aren’t used to their surroundings/bed. This also comes in handy if you need to place your baby in a safe zone while getting ready the day.

Nuna Pepp Stroller

We loved using this compact stroller for all of our travels!! We were able to use this when she was just a month old that allowed her to sleep and lay with it’s flat sleeper (deep recline) and it’s so easy to fold and open. It’s great for traveling and small trunks! It has a UPF 50+ canopy with a peekaboo window. My husband is tall, so it was a great feature that the handle bars are adjustable in 5 different positions to accommodate both of us with different heights. (He’s 6 ft. and I’m 5’6) I really like the adjustable leg rest too that made baby more comfortable, especially when she was a newborn. The basket is a decent size and could fit a small diaper bag. This also has the capability for a travel system. Out of all the strollers we have, this is the easiest to open and fold and an easy one-step brake. (we used the 7AM enfant 212 blanket for our winter travels)
