TRAVEL DIARIES: WHISTLER BLACKCOMB

TRAVEL DIARIES: WHISTLER BLACKCOMB

Hands down, Whistler Blackcomb is one of the best ski resorts for families. It’s a place that I continuously want to keep coming back to and make family traditions- it was that special! Not only does it have a mix of terrain for all ages, it has a huge apres ski scene, five-star spas and a village to “WOW” anyone.. Here are the best reasons to head to Canada for your next family ski vacation:

Step-By-Step Aimee Song Raw Bar Recipe

Step-By-Step Aimee Song Raw Bar Recipe

If you’ve been following my insta stories, you know how addicted I am of Aimee Song’s (Song of Style) raw bars! OH EM GEE they are delicious and a healthy snack too.  I make them often, but with a toddler, I can’t be watching her whole YouTube video on it every single time I want to make them. (I love my girl to pieces, but mama is on a time crunch) I just want to know step-by-step what I need and what I need to do, because I have a foggy mommy brain.

FIVE YEAR VOW RENEWAL ON KAUAI

FIVE YEAR VOW RENEWAL ON KAUAI

When I married Kenji almost 6 years ago, we decided not to have a lavish wedding ceremony and instead, we opted to elope and travel to South America for a whole month. It was the best decision we could have made! My only regret… there was never any wedding photos to show our future kids.

After celebrating our 5-year anniversary this past December and with a beautiful daughter, Kaia who will be 2 next month, I wanted to surprise him with a special vow renewal. We planned a getaway to Kauai (we stayed at Kuku’iula and it was one of the most amazing places!) for an early Father’s Day trip and I decided to surprise him then. I wanted this to be as intimate and special as possible with just the three of us. There was no fancy resort. No fancy dress. No upgraded ring. Just us surrounded by love and something we will remember for a lifetime with our daughter.

TRAVEL TECHNIQUES WITH SPYDER

TRAVEL TECHNIQUES WITH SPYDER

Happy Aloha Friday everyone!! The other day I did a special blog post over on Spyder’s website and just wanted to share a tid bit from it. We are taking our first international trip to Tokyo with Kaia in a few months and I shared why it’s important to travel with her and some rules we make as a family when it comes to traveling. We’ve been traveling with her since she was two months old, but never farther than Utah, so I’m anxious to see how this trip will go, mainly just the flight! I’ve already ordered some great toddler toys for the airplane that I hope will keep her occupied till we absolutely need to break out the iPad. (If you recommend any toys great for long flights, please comment on this post or e-mail me. Your tips are greatly appreciated).

CHEERS TO SUMMER!

CHEERS TO SUMMER!

If you were watching our Instagram stories yesterday, you saw that I hosted a really fun happy hour with my fellow blogger friends in Waikiki. How cute was our setup by the way? Everyone at the beach wanted to join our party for sure! As some of us are mom’s, it was definitely a treat to enjoy a sunset “wine-down” and no better place in the world with a view of Diamond Head. Ocean Spray Mocktails were the perfect drinks to set the tone for the evening as they are inspired by some of our favorite cocktails like Sangria, Bellini and Tropical Citrus.

SPYDER X SHAPE MAGAZINE TAKE TAHOE

SPYDER X SHAPE MAGAZINE TAKE TAHOE

If you guys have been following my Instagram, you will know that I went on an amazing trip with Spyder Activewear and Shape Magazine two weeks ago. (It was a pinch me moment for sure!) Amie Engerbretson who is a professional skier sponsored by Spyder, hosted us to a fab weekend in her hometown- Squaw Valley. Tahoe was one place that I’ve never been to that I’ve always wanted to visit. Flying in from Honolulu was a trek, but so worth all the planes and automobiles to get to our cabin for the fun-filled, bucket list weekend.
