Happy Monday, everyone! I know it’s so crazy to talk about holiday shopping, but can you believe Thanksgiving and Black Friday is in a few days?! It seems that when Thanksgiving hits, Christmas will be here in no time. We are starting our shopping early this year so we’re not scrabbling at the last minute and can really enjoy the holidays with our family since our babies keep us busy! With Black Friday coming up, we will be doing a lot of our shopping at Waikele Premium Outlets, because they have some incredible brands with the best deals starting 9AM-midnight on Thanksgiving Day. I know a lot of people avoid shopping during a day that is spent with family, so if you’re not up for the turkey holiday madness (we want to work-off all that food!), the next day they are open from midnight to 11pm where you can still get some amazing deals!!
As a first time mother, getting my body back has been a challenge. I was able to lose the majority of the baby weight after giving birth; it was just now finding the motivation and time to actually tone it all up, like my tummy. I’ve always had a pretty flat and toned stomach, but noticed that my body definitely changed after having a baby. My tummy wasn’t as firm and sculpted as it used to be. With a few things that I have incorporated into my every day fitness and health, I wanted to share 5 tips that I’ve been doing that have helped me banish some of that baby belly for more of a toned, sculpted abdomen.
Aloha IFS readers! I took a little digital detox and it felt so good! As much as I love blogging, sometimes it’s good to step away and truly enjoy all the little moments in life. When Kaia turned 1, I couldn’t believe where the time went. It was so crazy that a year had already gone by. Speaking of birthday, I’ve been so busy planning her party for this weekend… Please DO NOT RAIN! (I will be sure to show you some behind the scenes on Insta and Snap) Her theme is so fun and for the adults, it’s the end of summer event. Ha!
Being a new mom has been one of the greatest things I’ve been able to experience, but with that, getting my pre-pregnancy body back has been a challenge. I’ve always had a pretty flat stomach, but with all that skin stretching over the course of 9 months, it’s definitely not as tight and toned as it used to be. I feel like I’ve got a mommy tummy and got some loose skin on my lower abdomen. I
I found out about the Brazilian Blowout Treatment from my girlfriend who is also a mom and she raved at how amazing this treatment was. The Brazilian treatment is a hair smoothing treatment used to straighten hair without causing any damage to the hair follicles. The treatment bonds the protein to the outer layer of the hair, which help smooth, protect, soften and relax the hair. It removes frizz, add shine, seals the color, and decreases blow dry time, which is a huge bonus for me!
I contemplated doing maternity photos. My sister Kathy is fortunate to have a very talented photographer for a husband and he took some gorgeous shots throughout her pregnancy. (Check his work out gokenji.com). I knew if I did them, I wanted them to be unique and tasteful. I went back and forth and after speaking with some friends who encouraged me to bite the bullet, I explored maternity photographers. I came across Lola Melani and her photography blew me away. It was exactly what I had envisioned if I ever wanted to take maternity photos. Her work is elegant and timeless. She has a way of capturing and celebrating the beauty of pregnancy and I knew I wanted her to capture this special moment.
