CINDY GOT MARRIED!!!
This past weekend was a beautiful weekend of festivities celebrating the marriage of Cindy and Alan at one of the most romantic properties you could say “I DO” at, the Four Seasons Hualalai. We arrived on Kona Wednesday afternoon and our whole family stayed at one of the villas at Hualalai, which was absolutely gorgeous. Not only was this a special moment for Cindy and Alan, but for our family as well. It was the first family vacation we’ve ever taken together since our parents are divorced.
Traveling with a newborn baby and having many things going on was challenging and stressful at times, but thank goodness for such a hands-on husband, he really helped me a lot! (Thank you so much honey- everyone saw what an amazing dad you are!) The first day we arrived, it was a lot of running errands and picking up family from the airport. Thursday, we helped our mother host a huge family dinner of 25 at our villa. I think Suky could have her own catering company- she cooked for a size of a football team!
The next day, I planned a beautiful bridal shower for Cindy at their private beach on property, Kumukea Beach. I had a whole vision for this event and wanted this to be extra special for my sister. It’s nerve wrecking when you plan an event via e-mail and telephone, that you always wonder how it will turn out, but it was the most beautiful bridal shower I’d ever seen. I can’t wait to share more with you in the coming weeks!!
Later that evening, Cindy and Alan hosted a welcome white party luau for all of their wedding guests. It was so nice to see everyone that traveled so far and celebrate such an exciting and memorable time for them. The fire dancer was the highlight of the night. He was on fire…. Literally!
Having the big day arrive, Cindy, Heidi and me started the day getting our nails done in the spa. We all had our hair and makeup done in Cindy’s suite and tried to enjoy every moment. Cindy was such a calm and beautiful bride!
They got married on the lawn with the beautiful blue ocean as their background. Both our mom and dad walked her down as everyone stood to see her grace the aisle wearing her gorgeous J Mendel gown. Dad was so emotional and cried with happiness giving his older daughter away to Alan. It makes me tear up just remembering it…
As they officially became Mr. and Mrs. Pearlstein, we all cheered, along with a pool full of strangers. Ha! Enjoying a few cocktails near the ocean, it was followed by a beautiful reception in the garden that had such an intimate ambience. Later that night, a video highlighting their special day was shown on the big screen. Below is the clip for you to see. We ended the evening with a sparkler send off, congratulating the bride and groom. Cheers to my sister and new brother-in-law for a lifetime full of happiness! We love you both so much!!
