Wow, time really does fly by, even when you’re 9 months pregnant. This whole pregnancy went by so quick and now that we are waiting for Baby Kaia to arrive any day now, it’s like I can’t wait for her to hurry up and get here. We are so anxious to meet her and hear her first cry. I wanted to wait till the very end to capture her in my belly and share some maternity photos with you all. It’s been such a different experience each trimester and by far, the second trimester was the best! I’m just feeling so big and uncomfortable lately, I’m over it. Ha!
Here are some of the best and worst things I experienced in each trimester…
Best Part of the First Trimester: Of course finding out we were going to have a baby! Hearing the heartbeat was amazing and so surreal. I was really nervous and even cried when I saw the results on the pregnancy stick. (FYI- get the stick that just says Yes or No. Forget the lines!)
Worst Part of the First Trimester: I had really bad morning sickness and couldn’t even get out of bed or eat anything. Every time I looked at meat, it would gross me out especially chicken. Fuji apples were my BFF!
Best Part of the Second Trimester: Finding out the gender and no more morning sickness! We were so happy to find out we were having a baby girl.
Worst Part of the Second Trimester: Just finding clothes to dress the growing bump, but by far the best trimester!
Best Part of the Third Trimester: Having all my close girlfriends fly out for my baby shower. It was really special for me to have them there and have a staycation with them.
Worst Part of The Third Trimester: The most uncomfortable sleep of my life! Can’t get comfortable every way I try and position myself.
Everyone asked me if I had any weird food cravings, but I didn’t- just fresh fruit. Watch Baby Kaia grow up hating fruit. Haha!
So… the countdown is on and we are anxiously waiting for her. The best present anyone could ever get. Thanks to my baby daddy for capturing these images. We can’t wait to see how Mana Bear is going to be as a big sissy.
