Now that Kaia is a little older, we’ve really been making time to spend more time outside. Before she was born, we were always outdoors doing something and we are slowly getting back to that. I really miss swimming, which we are starting back up as Kaia starts her first swim lessons next month! There is a little park down in our neighborhood that we try to go to so we can get out of the house, let our dog run around and Kaia loves the wind blowing in her face.

Here are some of my favorite things I love to bring when we are on the go:

NOOK LilyPad Playmat

When we pack up to go to the park, I love bringing her LilyPad Playmat from Nook. It’s portable, so comfy and perfect for her to play on wherever we are. The non-toxic PETE air-spacer cushion is super plush, that you almost want it to be a rug. It feels so good on the feet. Haha! The best part of all is that it’s machine washable. I love all of Nook products. My dad got me the Niche Feeding Pillow for breastfeeding and it’s the best breastfeeding pillow I’ve ever used. It’s even comfortable to wear when I’m reading. Ju-Ju-Be Diaper Bag

This was my favorite thing to shop for before Kaia was born. I was so excited to get my diaper bag and get it all ready for her arrival. I bought a few that were super cute and fashionable, but when I used them, I found them to be more of a nuisance. I really needed a backpack style to have both arms available without it getting in the way. I now take the Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F. diaper bag everywhere. It has so many compartments and I can even have the front compartment dedicated for my wallet, keys, lipgloss, etc. It comes with a changing pad, which makes changing diapers wherever you are much easier. Natursutten Glass Baby Bottles

Now that Kaia is 8 months old, we are slowly weaning her off breastfeeding and more bottle-feeding. We’ve tried a variety of bottles and found a few brands to leak or Kaia just doesn’t care for the nipple. We’ve been using Natursutten glass baby bottles, which is a safer choice and free of BPA/BPS or other harmful chemicals that plastic bottles can contain. We wanted this to be a smooth transition from my nipple to the bottle and we found that the Natursutten natural rubber (made in Italy) creates a feeding experience that more closely simulates breastfeeding. She really took to it right away with daddy, but for me, I think it will take more time. It has an anti-colic double valve that ensures even milkflow, preventing colic and gas. The baby bottle is made in France of borosilicate glass, which is dishwasher-safe and thermal shock-resistant (withstands extreme temperature changes, like boiling or freezing). Estella Organic Baby Rattle Toys

I love these organic baby rattles from Estella, a cute boutique in NYC. All of their rattles are GOTS certified organic and they are so light and portable to bring everywhere. She has about 20 of these- no joke! She puts everything in her mouth, so I don’t have to worry about her choking on a little toy piece or sharp edges.
