We all love a winged eyeliner look also known as the cat-eye. It’s such a classic, yet bold and edgy makeup look. For those that are afraid to attempt this look, we gave you some tips that can help for you first timers, because it can be a little daunting.
Choosing The Perfect Liquid Liner
Make sure to choose one that has an easy applicator and lasts all day. We love Sisley’s new #SoIntense liner that is a felt-tip eyeliner that delivers an intense black line that can be worn from thin to as thick as you want giving you a versatile make-up look from minimalist to graphic. It’s perfect for beginners! This does not flake and rub-resistant for an ultra long-lasting formula that has cornflower, gardenia extract, pro-vitamin b5 and glycerin of vegetable origin.
Perfecting The Winged Liner
Get a piece of scotch tape of an inch-long and place it underneath your bottom lashes at the outer corner of your eye and angle it towards the end of your temple.
With light strokes, begin to sketch the middle of your upper lash line, which is where the liquid line should start to thicken. Draw to the outer corner using short strokes.
Using the tape for a ruler, continue drawing your line along the tape past the outer corner. Make sure your line gradually gets thinner and thinner as you sketch the line.
Remove the tape and now finish the line and sketch the inner corners of your eye. Tightly line the eye. You have now perfected the winged liner look. It will definitely take a few tries to get it down, but once you got the hang of it, you will be a pro in no time. Finish it off with your favorite mascara and wala, you’re done!
Be sure to checkout Sisley Paris So Intense Eyeliner that just launched. For a limited time only, it comes with a Free Eye & Lip Makeup Remover travel size when you buy a So Intense Eyeliner.
What do you think of the look? This is more of a daytime winged liner look, so you can go heavier for more of a dramatic look. I applied Sisley So Intense Mascara in Deep Black and love that it lengthens and thickens your natural lashes with its unique comb. Hope this helps some of you out that has been wanting to try this look. XX
