Since having Kaia, we’ve really gotten to know what strollers work for our family and lifestyle. We live in Honolulu, which is a very urban city, so having something lightweight, compact with some great features; the Bugaboo Bee3 was the right choice for us. If you’re looking for an all around everyday stroller that does it all and great for traveling, look no further. Read why I love the Bugaboo Bee3…

Lightweight and Compact

This was a really important factor to me, because my first stroller was extremely heavy and it was so hard for me to take it in and out of the trunk. I really needed one that was lightweight and easy to fold to load/unload. The Bee is such a breeze and also doesn’t take up my whole trunk. You can even roll it on its side when it’s folded. (Weighing 21lbs.)

Maneuverability

This smaller stroller is so nice in tight places, making turning easier with the smaller wheels. It’s a smooth ride on sidewalks and hardwood floors and able to push with just one hand if needed. I don’t recommend on tough terrain with the smaller wheels, as the stroller does get a bit shaky. The tires are foam filled rubber.

Seat

I love that the seat can recline to 3 different positions, even lay flat, which is great for when you’re on the go and want your baby comfortable when he/she naps. The seat also extends and can face out or toward parents, which is another nice feature. The Bee does have adapters to purchase if you want it to be car seat compatible. (Britax, Chicco, Cybex and Maxi-Cosi)

Canopy

Living in Hawaii, we are always in the sun, so with having the Bee3 come with an extendable canopy that is UPF50+ is a huge plus.

Adjustable Handlebar

The adjustable handlebar is a great feature to please both parents. I’m a little shorter and my husband is much taller than me, so it’s great that we both can adjust the height of the handlebar to our comfort.

Storage Basket

Having storage space is important to us, so that if we are out shopping and running errands, we want to be able to put things in storage, along with a small diaper bag. I’m surprised that the storage basket on the Bee3 is very generous. I can fit so many things in it.

Brakes

The single action breaks are easy to set and release and even flip flop foot friendly.

5 Point Harness and Safety

The 5 point harness is easy to put on and take off and even offers adjustable shoulder heights and crotch straps positions. Safety is really important for us, so we really like that the Bee3 has a safety strap on the handlebar when we go downhill or emergency situations where we need to quickly grab the stroller.

Bugaboo is one of the luxury stroller manufacturers on the market today, with the Bee3 being the smallest stroller of their collection. The Bee3 is great for newborns up to 37.5 pounds with a seat that can grow with baby. I really like that you can even change the look of the stroller with the canopy and seat liners, offering 64 color combinations. The fabric is breathable, weather resistant fabrics that are removable and washable. For the frame, you can choose between the aluminum or black frame. (Kaia’s stroller is the black frame, with black seat liner and grey mélange) It does come with a rain cover, but they have tons of optional accessories you can purchase like Bassinet, Foot Muffs, Cup holder, tray, Sun canopy, Parasol, etc. to build your perfect stroller.

When you’re having a baby, the stroller is one of the most expensive investments, so you want to be sure it’s the right fit. (It’s almost like buying a car for your baby! Ha!) It can be so overwhelming, but if you’re parents on the go that travel often, the Bugaboo Bee3 is such a great stroller!
