First impressions always make lasting impressions. When I first got Lipstick Queen’s newest collection, Silver Screen, I was immediately impressed from the moment I saw it to swiping it across my lips. The silvery, velvet-like packaging was beautiful and the most elegant packaging I’d ever seen. The glamorous silver casing offers seven new shades of this revolutionary new lipstick. ($50 each) The Silver Screen Collection is an intensely rich formula, leaving lips with a full pigment and a wet-look texture. As soon as applied it onto my lips, I felt a soothing, cooling sensation from the Peppermint Oil that felt refreshing, especially during the cold months when lips tend to get dry. According to Lipstick Queen, it also contains a high percentage of Pomegranate Sterols, a new active ingredient to keep lips smooth and hydrated. Another reason why I love wearing Lipstick Queen is that Poppy King (Lipstick Queen Founder) always adds Vitamin E to almost every lipstick. For this collection, both Vitamin A and E are added to ensure lips stay nourished all day long.

I have two shades from this collection: Play It and Made It. Play It is more of an exotic glamorous hot pink and loved the color as soon as I put it on. I love a bright pink, because I think it really brightens your complexion and you just look cheerful. Certain pinks can tend to look unflattering and I hate to say it, but ‘cheap’ if you know what I mean. I found this to be a perfect fuchsia pink that leaves a glossy shine, although it transfers easily, but remains to look as a stain after drinking or eating.

For Made It, I felt the pigmentation was a slight different from Play It and felt more balmy and less pigmented. It’s the deepest color of the collection with a gorgeous, deep blackened berry. If you’re looking for a deep vamp lip, I would try this first to gradually wear the opaque pigmented look.

Bottom line, I loved everything about it from the look, color to how it made my lips feel. It is a steep price of $50, but this is by far my favorite collection so far from Lipstick Queen. My favorite color of the two is Play It!
