If you were to ask me what type of lip products I prefer, a lipstick or a gloss, hands down it would be a lipstick. I’ve always liked more of a maximum coverage lip than a sheer coverage. Although, there are those days when I just want a no fuss, out the door type of lip, like a tinted balm.
Recently, I’ve been using Sisley Phyto-Lip Twist in #3 Peach and #6 Cherry. It’s a tinted balm, colored like a lipstick, but shiny like a gloss. You really get the best of both worlds with this formula… It glides easily onto the lips where you can outline your lips and color them in, leaving lips moisturized, smooth and plump with a plant-based active ingredient.
#3 Peach is a really light peachy, coral color perfect for any daytime, natural look. It’s a great summer lip that would look great on a bronzed skin with a subtle hint of metallic shimmer.
#6 Cherry adds more of a punch of a color that screams hello I’m here! It’s a bright red that can take you from day to night and the perfect accessory. You can build the coverage from a sheer stain to intense pigment giving you multiple looks.
The packaging itself is so fun in a zebra print like chunky crayon and the beauty about it is, you never need a sharpener. It just needs a single twist. It comes in a variety of 6 different colors, ranging from nudes to intense pigments. It’s really light to carry and not heavy, as some lipstick tubes tend to be. Great for traveling or the night out.
Overall, I love the Phyto-lip twist and like that it’s so lightweight for that barely there feeling, giving you the ultimate hydration for your lips. At a price of $50, it’s a splurge (Like Tom Ford lipsticks), but when you put them on your lips, you’ll end up wanting the whole collection. There’s no scent or taste for those looking for a non-scented lip tint. The product wears well until you’ve eaten and had a drink of course, but other than that, it’s long-wearing.
