Now that I’ve been breastfeeding Kaia for 8 months, I’ve really had some practice at breastfeeding at home and in public. In the beginning, I was so terrified that I wouldn’t be able to find a private area for my hungry, screaming baby to breastfeed at. It was such a challenge in the beginning to find easy access everyday wearable clothing, without taking off my entire top. It was such a dilemma and frustrating doing this in a public bathroom and on top of a crying baby.
I recently found a great maternity/nursing brand, Boob that has a flap panel that goes across the boob, making it so convenient to breastfeed and it covers your boob area, so there not all out, like HELLO!! I do still cover-up with a nursing cover, but now I don’t feel obligated to find a bathroom to feed her, while doing all these clothing maneuvers.
I found Boob to be really basic fashion staples to incorporate with other stylish pieces that are simple and functional. I’m all about being functional, with no complications. They have no clips or zippers; all you simply have to do is lift up the fabric and feed your baby. The material is all soft and stretch, so it can grow with your body and also comfortable for post baby.
Boob, a Swedish based sustainability company has taken great measures when it comes to environmental and social responsibility for their materials. They use a variety of organic cotton, lyocell and recycled polyester and polyamide. For them, it’s important that their clothes are free from harmful chemicals that make clothes safe while baby is next to your skin.
It’s so comfortable and easy, while looking put together instead of frumpy. I highly recommend this as a must-have. Even when I’m done nursing, I will still continue to wear this for their comfort and style. You can’t even tell it’s a nursing wear…
